97(3) A pronoun agrees with its antecedent in gender and number.

Examples (audio):


(a) βλέπω τὸν μαθητὴν καὶ διδάσκω αὐτόν, I see the disciple and teach him.


(b) μένω ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ καὶ γινώσκω αὐτόν, I remain in the house and know it.


(c) ἡ ἐκκλησία διδάσκει ἐμέ, καὶ ἐγὼ διδάσκω αὐτήν, the Church teaches me and I teach it.


(d) βλέπω τοὺς μαθητὰς καὶ διδάσκω αὐτούς, I see the disciples and teach them.


(e) βλέπω τὰ τέκνα καὶ διδάσκω αὐτά, I see the children and teach them.
